Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand

The temperature drop arrives (accompanied by her best friend back pain).

It's official...temping is evil and my body thinks reproduction is for suckers.

Awaiting the arrival of AF and then will call Dr. O.

Roll on ivf.

    1. Thanks. I am excited to at least have a plan though.

  2. Booooooo!

Re: your Thoughts on Temping. I've done the same thing while temping. I've pored over page after page after page of charts, looking for the pregnant ones that are just like mine. And you're right. They mean nothing. I've driven myself to the brink of insanity with temping, so I've given it up. Just can't do it anymore. I still have my thermometer, but I have fantasies of smashing it with a hammer. Maybe someday. Someday soon...

    1. Hammer Smash! Hammer Smash! Definitely a good idea. I think throwing out my last batch (sheesh - I can't believe I had a bash) was not therapeutic enough. A hammer smash seems fitting!

  3. Here from ICLW.

I'm sorry about the temp shift. I tried temping.. and it was just too hard for me at the time. Later learned I am far from normal, and temping wasn't going to ever work for us. Even with that, I still find myself temping at times...

Also a big fan of the sookie stackhouse series... and as a teacher, I am also trying to read as much as I can for pleasure before the school year starts! Also loved the Molly Harper series.

  4. Pisser! But good to see you have a plan and are taking it well! I'm a fan of temping... most of the time. At least you feel like you have a small clue as to what the heck is going on in there!

Happy ICLW! Thanks for stopping by!

  5. UGH. Temping IS evil.

But, like you, I cannot give it up. I tried last cycle. No meds, no pee sticks, and I really tried for no BBT.

...I suck. And it kills me every time. If my thermometer was a man, he would be terribly abusive and I would be a barefoot housewife with all the spirit beat out of me.

Hang in there, and don't let the BBT get you down! Damn the man, save the Empire!

    Happy ICLW, friend!

    1. An Empire Records reference...I love it! If only Joe and the gang could fix my problems. But I think giving up the temping is a good first step!

  7. Hello from ICLW!

I actually really enjoyed temping, but then I have these really pretty charts with well defined O and a temp drop at around 11 dpo signifying AF is on the way.

If it doesn't work for you - abandon the thermometer and save your sanity.
