Unresolved ... update

So I got Dr. O on the phone. She seemed to feel it could be from the "missed" pill (although I still call shennanigans...it was 5 hours later than usual; that just happened to be the next day. If I normally took the pill at 1pm and took it at 6pm instead, would that still be missed? But I digress....)

Anyhow, she seems unconcerned. She said I may spot, and then, when I stop the pill, I may get nothing. But the important thing is that as long as I keep taking the bcp and the lupron, hormonally we are still setting everything up for how it should be. So as far as she could see, for now, we are still on!

Whew. I think I took my first normal breath. Of course, if this turns into a full flow, I might call her back. But for now, I am trying to think positively!

  1. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Last year my doctor put me on BCP before a IUI cycle and I missed a day. I started spotting and it did turn red for a bit, but I just kept taking the BC. It never turned full flow, just a little red then some brown spotting for a few days. So I think you will be fine. Try not to stress! Lots of luck for you!

    1. Thank you! It feels reassuring to hear from someone else who has had this spotting (why my body now, after 31 years of never spotting has chosen to do so is an entirely different question).

Following along with your journey and wishing you so much strength as you move forward!

  3. I'm actually more pleased that you talked to your Dr. vs. your nurse. You need that reassurance right now. I have all the faith in the world that she knows what she is doing. Great doctors know great things.

    1. I hope so! And I did like that she was the one to call me back. The spotting *seems* to have stopped today, so I am hopeful it was all just mother nature's way of messing with me (as if I could get any more stressed!)

  4. Hi from iclw! I am experiencing the exact same thing! I'm a little bit ffreaking out bc if I get my period it messes my whole cycle up! My dr told me b4 to alternate 1 pill one day, 2 the next until it goes away. We will just have to hang in there. Good luck on your cycle.

  5. Although I'm glad your doc is unconcerned...geez, can't things be easy? A major period scare at this point is something NO ONE needs! Argh! Hopefully today will be a better day. Thinking about you!

  7. Here from ICLW - Hoping the spotting stops now. But sounds like the cycle is still a go. Yay! Excited for you. I'm just starting an injectable cycle - hoping we both get positive results!

  8. The spotting may just be the combination of taking the pill later and the transfer...I hope you can start the lupron

  9. Thanks for your comment on my post.

I hope the spotting is just from the mock transfer. I had mine a few weeks ago and spotted for a few days afterwards.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
